Ralf Kwaschik

KEY QUALIFICATIONS: Ralf Kwaschik is Director, Networking and Partnerships Unit, at the International Network for Bamboo and Rattan (INBAR). He has a first degree in agricultural sciences and a doctorate in animal nutrition and physiology from the University of Goettingen. With over 20 years of experience in development co-operation in various countries, with international and bilateral agencies as well as the private sector, he has made the transition from animal nutrition to agricultural research management including programming and priority setting, technology assessment and transfer (FAO); project formulation and backstopping (private sector); NTFPs, information and knowledge management, and capacity-building (INBAR). During recent years, networking and partnerships development have featured ever more prominently in his professional life.
